She has decided to investigate Collector, even though she has been admonished by law enforcement to leave it to the professionals. She will not and cannot stop herself from pursuing this investigation. Her supervisor and the publisher of the paper secretly encourage her, even though they know it may end her career and may even hurt their paper. But getting the story is in the end all that matters to them. She uses her persuasive looks and charm to get herself into places and out of situations that she should not be able to. But pursuing Collector will likely be her on doing. She thinks that she is pursuing him but she doesn’t know that he is pursuing her. Along the way she receives secret tips and information from an unknown source.
